Ye Gods! That means at some point Harden might pitch to Bradley?

That'd be the injury equivalent of the Ghostbusters crossing the streams........people in a 50-mile radius would have their right arm fall off and then they'd have to limp after it. Out to 100 miles the entire population would go on the DL.

Extra long spring training. He could sit out the first two weeks and it wouldn't matter much at all. Maybe that has been figured into the decision for him to sit out the weekend.

You can spin it however you want, but it is what it is. The Cub's biggest off-season acquisition has a quad injury. Maybe it will be better by opening day, maybe it won't.

I'm not really disagreeing, I just hate to hear this pessimism so early in the season, er, pre-season. Let's wait until at least the second week of March. I'm still ecstatic that there is baseball. I'm psyched about the WBC, if only because the games will be televised. From December through February I wonder why I still have cable.

I suppose anything is possible, but I doubt it. Jones isn't even hitting lefties and his defense is pretty much average the last 4 years.

The only reason Andruw Jones is still in baseball is because his name is Andruw Jones.

then of course Jim Edmonds figured out how to upper-cut his way into a decent season last year, so who knows...

I'm glad to see Fuld tag one with Piniella watching. I'm not sure Lou has seen Fuld hit a ball.

Apparently he's not just a singles hitter. He slugged .513 in 200 at bats in Venezuela this winter. He also put up those crazy numbers in the AFL in '07.

He doesn't hit for average but his OBP is always high with lots of walks.

Our regular center fielder is no bargain, so Fuld is interesting.
