This lineup is flawless and brilliant. It cannot possibly fail to score less than 13 runs.
It is probably also the only lineup in MLB history to feature Reed, Micah, Koyie and So.

WAIT! - IS this the patented L-R-L-R-L-R lineup? How could we possibly fail???
If this economy continues its path, I will be joining Scott Eyre.

Garrett Olson enjoying the scrubs lineup...
http://muskat.mlblogs.com/archives/2009/03/310_cla...
Muskat just randomly throws this line in:
Piniella said Fukudome will likely bat second in the Cubs' lineup behind Alfonso Soriano. Other options there are Aaron Miles, Ryan Theriot and Reed Johnson.
Somehow Fontenot is not a good option to bat second? (shrug)
another muskat blog says he'll decide by the end of the week on Opening Day Starter between Z and Dempster

What do these four hitters have in common?
Decent hitters, bat control, some speed, no pop. Move the runner over, etc.
Fontenot's more of a run producer, not a #2. Lou has ideas about hitting slots that may not be the same as yours or mine.
When these guys play--an important qualifier--they're candidates for #2.

To ROB G:
Dear Rob G.:
I am really appreciative of you and the other contributors making this a great place for suffering, generally pessimistic (and broke) Cub fans. However, I am wondering if it would be possible to re-assess the Mobile version for k-weight and to try and streamline download times?
I am using a 3G iPhone, and I have noticed on both WiFi networks (even T1) and 3G with excellent signals, the download speeds are really, really, slow, sometimes not loading a page for :30 to 1:00 or more. It is aggravating as I can't wait to see if Scott Eyre is out of hock, or the latest AZ PHIL awesome post. Yes, its great that you have (I would think) a little revenue coming in and nice banners on the main site, but on a mobile platform, user satisfaction is key. Would it be a chore to maybe have a link for a "streamlined mobile version", that has less gifs, flash, etc., on it?
Thanks for listening.
One of the many TCR fans,
The E-Man

Yeah, what he said. About 75% of the time, my 3G iPhone crashes when using this site now.

bookmark this instead, comments aren't threaded, but it has the basics..

as for a stripped down, dedicated mobile site, I'd love to do it, but you're talking a $500-$1000 investment for maybe 30-100 hits a day and I would guess no more than 10 users. That's a bit steep for us.
We are planning some improvements to the main site and the software upgrade may speed things up a bit for your phones.
I also recommend using Opera Mini as your mobile web browser.

hope that helps...

For the iPhone? Hmmm...unless things have changed:
"From The New York Times BITS blog,
Mr. von Tetzchner said that Opera’s engineers have developed a version of Opera Mini that can run on an Apple iPhone, but Apple won’t let the company release it because it competes with Apple’s own Safari browser."

well I can't control Apple's attempt at a monopoly (and shit, how is that any different than what Microsoft went through with Explorer?)
but the mobile link I gave you should work, at least you get the stories and comments.

I would come to apple's defense if they didn't make a living for so long selling their hardware at prices as if it was all made of diamond studded titanium. it's just so hard to...
