I can't speak for Ryno but my interpretation of his post was that he was wondering if Baez would be their only prospect if Hendry was around, and if he thinks that, he's probably right.
Not to be a downer, but I remember C-Patt walking off the field of his own power after a knee injury that ended his 2003 season.
Why are all of your hopes on one guy? The great thing about this team now is that there are a bunch of guys to look forward to.
Yeah. Coach I'm fine - just a flesh wound.
Honey, you can have that baby alone. Can't your sister help out?
/things Cubs will say in 2015/16
I think Hendry would have spent a bunch of money and the Cubs wouldn't have most of these prospects.
Haha. I'll have a coronary if he keeps playing only against lefties. I'm serious. I'm too old for Happy/Olt.
video is up on MLB.com if you go to Gameday, didn't need to slide either which is unfortunate...spike got caught, looked like he grabbed back of left leg, hamstring area, but then later the calf/ankle area is what he seemed to be stretching out. Did walk off and seemed in considerably less pain already, but Watkins in, Baez moved to SS.
Pretty soon players will have be careful about getting hurt on this team.
Len was told that Dallas Beeler isn't up because he had reached an innings limit.
Btw I predict that Castro is ok. Worst case scenario an Achilles. Probably a rolled ankle. Great sign he shook it off quick.
Bad News Brewers. Wow.
You would think. But maybe Happy will try and help him some more.
(Plus I hope he has his game after the injury).
With Rizzo out, Olt should get about 3 weeks of at-bats. It will be interesting if he makes the most of this opportunity.
Do you think if Hendry were still in charge we'd have pinned all our hopes on a guy with a 45% k rate?
len thinks hamstring...or ankle...fwiw.
given how much pain he was showing vs how quickly that turned into getting up and limping (lightly) off i hope it's minor.
If he broke a bone , he wouldn't be walking. Otherwise, being able to bear full weight is a good thing, even if it's a severe sprain or a hammy. The replay looks like it's an ankle though.
