#5 Big Hit: Friday, v. Pittsburgh, 4th inning-- With the Cubs trailing 1-0, Kosuke Fukudome rips a leadoff triple against Ian Snell. (Fukudome would score moments later on a Mark DeRosa single). WPA .120
#4 Big Hit: Wednesday, v. Cincinnati, 1st inning-- Here comes that Fukudome guy again. WIth the bases loaded and one out in a scoreless game, Fukudome plates the Cubs first two runs with a double off Josh Fogg, scoring Ryan Theriot and Derrek Lee, and getting the home team on their way to a 12-3 win. #3 Big Hit: Saturday, v. Pittsburgh, 1st inning-- Derrek Lee begins the Cubs' second bombardment of the Pirates' Tom Gorzelanny this season by mashing a two-run homer to get the Cubs on the board and provide all the scoring they needed to win on Saturday. WPA .165
#2 Big Hit: Tuesday, v. Cincinnati, 2nd inning--Mark DeRosa's two-run homer against Aaron Harang puts the Cubs up 2-1, before the Reds leapfrog back into the lead, thus setting the stage for the #1 Cub Big Hit of the Week. WPA .171
#1 Big Hit: Tuesday, v. Cincinnati, 5th inning-- Mr. Lee tops this week's list with a three-run shot off Harang to erase a 3-2 Reds lead and put the Cubs up, 5-3. WPA .321
