Quick Notes
-John Mcdonough grew up a White Sox fan and his interim tag sounds like it's temporary. He said it's safe to assume the payroll will stay in the vicinity of the $100 million range and don't expect a Yankees or Red Sox payroll splurge next year.
- All the coaches are gone including Larry Rothschild and Chris Speier. They will be welcome back if the new manager wants them though.
- "Joe Girardi will be a candidate, said Cubs general manager Jim Hendry of his search for Bakerís replacement."
