I didn't get to do a major league recap and I'm off on vacation this week. Apologies in advance if things get untidy around here. As for the major league game, it was déjà vu all over again. Marmol and Wood blowing a second consecutive game, the bullpen blowing a win for Garza or the Cubs just blowing a game, pick whatever storyline suits your needs...it's like choose-your-own adventure Cubs storytime.
We'll see how this works. I created an account at First Inning and it allows you to track certain minor leaguers. I thought I'd try to keep up with my top 16 prospects on a nearly daily basis. You may be interested in others, but it's my list, so go get your own. They haven't made Hayden Simpson available yet, so I will add him once they do to replace Darwin Barney, who of course is with the major league club.
I have a couple advertising related questions. One regards this site. Who names their small business insurance company HISCOX? WTH is wrong with people? I guess it's better than HERCOX.
And the other is the Cubs games. I guess I've been away from Chicago too long, but, "The Fifth Third Bank?" What kind of a name is that? But worse is the tagline. "The Curious Bank." I guess it works if you're looking for memorable advertising, but I don't want to do business with a curious bank, to be honest. My bank has plenty of information about me.
