Somebody claimed Matt Harvey, He’s scheduled to start vs Cubs on Friday. Things that make you say, hmmm.

Pat Mooney say not the Cubs. Supposedly the Dodgers most likely.

Cards put Ozuna on DL w shoulder issues

"Yu Darvish (elbow, triceps) does not believe he'll require surgery and expects to be "fully healthy" for 2019."

okay, then.

yeah, so anyway...d.maples is called up and t.chatwood goes on the 10-day DL because his hip is inflamed or something.

also, alec mills is gonna be called up on friday for the start.

sometimes i wonder how the hell this team has the most wins in the NL...

the top 1st vs the reds and the cubs are playing like...well, the reds.

A Rizzo homer hot streak is okay by me. 2-1 Cubs thanks to an error and a not so soft hit into the bleachers

who is this jackass with len/jd in the booth that needs to have his mic turned off?

damn, it's doug glanville...has he been drinking or is he just nervous/weird for some reason?

The Cole Hamels pickup: more important for the greater good of mankind than the development of penicillin?  I think yes.

hamels complete game!

cubs haven't had a CG since sept. 24th 2017 (Q).

Hamels is pitching the best baseball of his career statistically, have the Cubs reached the point to where they might skip the $6MIL buyout and pickup his $20MIL option?  If he keeps it up I think Chicago should pickup "Hollywood's" option especially since Darvish coule end up having some kind of surgery.  Kills the Bryce Harper (overrated) hype if they pick it up.

The other part that’s kind of crazy is they made two very high profile trades, one for Goldschmidt and one for Arenado, and they very clearly won those trades. They just haven’t been able to develop players the last handful of years the way they usually do.

I guess the moral there is it’s hard to stay on top of your game and be good at what you do in perpetuity.

Marmol was extended at the beginning of the year. Two years I believe.

Craig Counsell doesn’t have a timetable for Cody Bellinger who technically has two cracked ribs on his right side. CT scan showed it today.

Thought it might have been David Peralta given the open 40 man spot and how PCA has played so far.

I hope they keep Mozeliak a few more years. Marmol too!

wow, counsell coming with the early lineup.  rarity.

    PCA called up.

    welp...

    bellinger...fractured rib.

a not-very-ready PCA will probably be called up when it would be much better for him to be in AAA getting regular ABs.

i have no hard data, but i'm seeing the same thing.

there used to be some parks where that was rampant (colorado during the todd helton days comes to mind), but i'm seeing it all over the place the past couple seasons.

I’ll spare the details which I’ve stated before but, in short, the Cardinals have lost their sight of their successful identity and strategy over last several dominant decades. From the beginning of the season I saw the Cardinals being in last place or near it again this year, and my prediction is that Mozeliak will be gone after the end of the season.
