Cubs @ Brewers: Haren vs. Lopez (Game 162)
The Pirates magic number remains at 1.
CHC (96-65): RHP Dan Haren (10-9, 3.67)
MIL (68-93): RHP Jorge Lopez (1-0, 5.40)
First pitch: 2:10pmCT
Haren won in Cincinnati on Tuesday (7.1 IP, 0 ER), doing his part to continue the amazing run of Cubs starting pitching. He ended up going 2-0 with a 2.36 in September. He beat the Brewers at Wrigley on August 11 (5.1 IP, 3 ER). Lind is 5-16 with 2 HR against him.
Lopez, a 22y/o Puerto Rican and second round draft pick from 2011, is the last in a run of rookies that are hopefully not ruining the Cubs postseason bats. He won in San Diego (5 IP, 3 ER) in his MLB debut on Tuesday. None of the Cubs have faced him.
I don't know what y'all have planned for Wednesday's game, but I'll be streaming TBS via Sling TV and chromecasting it--cordcutting is overrated during the postseason--and hanging out in the TCR Parachat. Bring your favorite sound effect and say hello.
Go Cubs!
