Cubs No-Hit Angels for 6-2/3 Before Riverview Revoltin' Development

Jose Reyes belted a solo HR with two outs in the top of the 7th to break-up the no-hitter and Trent Deveaux and Dustin Ackley drilled run-scoring doubles to highlight a five-run 8th, as the Angels rallied to defeat the Cubs 6-2 in Cactus League Extended Spring Training game action Friday morning on Field #5 on John Arguello Way at the Riverview Baseball Complex in Mesa, AZ.

The game was called after eight innings of play.

RF Jose Reyes ($425K - Dominican Republic), CF Trent Deveaux ($1.2M - The Bahamas), and LF D'Shawn Knowles ($850K - The Bahamas) are three of the Angels Top 5 2017-18 IFA signings, and they were the starting outfielders for the Angels in the game, and all three contributed to the victory (Reyes with the game-tying HR, Deveaux with the two-run double that put the Angels ahead, and Knowles with two walks and a run scored on the Ackley double). So the Angels have a nice trio of potentially future impact-outfielders at EXST.

Here is the abridged box score from the game (Cubs players only):
