There has been a lot of talk recently about possible rule changes in MLB, and so for the benefit of the MLB Commissioner and the MLBPA, here are my carefully considered unsolicited suggestions/solutions all in one place:
While I’m weighing multiple $300m+ offers, I wanted to take a moment to announce a change to the site: I will no longer be making regular daily game thread posts.
If anyone is interested in stepping up to fill that void, let me know. (Perhaps a once-a week rotation could work.)
The good news is that I will still be lurking in the background to keep the site running and making the occasional snide comment. I’ll keep the contests running, too.
2/22 UPDATE:
Mark Johnson has been named Cubs Minor League Catching Coordinator (position was vacant since Tim Cossins took MLB coaching position with Baltimore Orioles in December), Jimmy Gonzalez replaces Johnson as AA Tennessee Manager, Steve Lerud replaces Gonzalez as Myrtle Beach Manager, Lance Rymel replaces Lerud as Eugene Manager, Ricardo Medina replaces Rymel as AZL Cubs #2 Manager, Ty Wright replaces Medina as Myrtle Beach Hitting Coach, Michael Carter replaces Wright as Eugene Hitting Coach, and the AZL Cubs #1 Hitting Coach slot (formerly occupied by Carter) is presently vacant (TBD).
