Jake gave up 5 ER in 4 innings and lost to the Nationals in DC in June. Overall, they are 32-134 (.239) against him. Rendon is 4-11; Murphy is 5-17. Lind and Werth have taken him deep.
Roark last pitched an inning of relief (Oct. 1) against the Pirates, in which he gave up 2 ER. He gave up 6 ER in 4.2 innings in Philly, for the loss. For the season, he went 13-11 with a 4.67. On the road, he went 7-5 with a 4.26.
He beat the Cubs at Wrigley in June (6.1 IP, 2 ER, 4 K, 3 BB). For their careers, they are 17-79 (.215) against him. Bryant is 5-11 with a HR.
Hey, let’s close out the series at home—and on Trans’s birthday!

Agreed. Still a lot of swing and miss in the lineup and Caratini's make solid contact/line drive approach helps balance that out, particularly against righties
I like Bote's bat in the lineup as well with spelling KB at third and getting into the 2B rotation (Nico hasn't lept out ahead of the competition)

As well he should, Victor is a really good hitter. I am glad to see him getting these opportunities.

Carlos Zambrano. Loved Z but by the end of
his tenure he was absolutely a negative influence.

I find it odd that they were basically able to totally re order the rotation and didn't move Hendricks to a home start this weekend against he team he tossed a shutout against.

Aha, I see a topic. List all time Cub clubhouse cancers.

the indians waited too long to get trevor bauer away from influencing clevenger as a professional and human being...
there's a reason bauer has been sold "below cost" by 2 teams now.
also, do they even care that carlos carrasco is coming back from a boatload of chemo and has decided to participate in this season when he could have just taken his $$ and gone home for a year?

thursday stl/det double header postponed.

some other teams will be 20+ games played at that point.

No new Cardinals tested negative on Sunday. They need two days in a row of neg. testing to get the OK to resume the season. Today's tests are not back.

STL is going to go 1/2 month without playing a game...more at this point are possible.

Why isn't Ryan Jensen at South Bend these days?
Regardless of if he gets called up. He should be there if he's healthy and able

Cubs have reset the rotation ahead of the series against the Indians: Lester, Hendricks, Darvish, Chatwood and Mills
Mills and Hendricks no longer back to back which makes sense given their similar styles
