Cubs @ Brewers (Game 46)
With last night's unlikely comeback win against the Reds, the Cubs continued to hold their nearest division competitors at a reasonable distance. The Cards split their doubleheader and remain 3-games back in 2nd place. Milwaukee enters this series at 5.0 games back and needing a series win to keep themselves in the race. They will send their opening day starter to get the series going, but the Cubs will be fortunate the Brewers' surprise best starter, Corbin Burnes.CHC (26-19): LHP Jon Lester (2-2, 5.90 ERA)

Jon Lester has not won a game since his third start, on August 11. He has been absolutely knocked around in every start since then, even in the starts in which he limited run-scoring; he's allowed 40 hits in 23.1 innings pitched in the 5 starts since then. Jedd Gyorko has slashed .321/.424/.679 against Lester in 28 at-bats.
Brandon Woodruff has had a pretty successful 2020, most significantly by remaining healthy so far. He has also struck out over 10 batters per 9 innings and elicited a reasonable portion of opponent contact on the ground, 44.9%. In two starts against the Cubs this year, both at Wrigley, he is 0-1, allowing 5 earned runs in 9.1 innings. Few Cubs have a significant track record against him. Caratini is 3-5 with two doubles. Javy is 1-10 with 4 strikeouts and Bryant is 2-10 with 4 strikeouts.
