that's 3 starters no one would guess would be 2022 MLB cubs starters and a 4th that was supposed to be traded mid-season.

bit surprised and pleased that a.sampson hasn't given up 100 or so homers in his 88+ innings.  maybe he can be 2023 alec mills.  speaking of, i hope this team is done with alec mills.  we got sampson, assad, kllian...they can do long + spot start + injury...

i'm ready for the off-season.

s.suzuki's paternity leave extended and he's been put on the restricted list.

he's expected to be back some time within this series with PIT.

tarp on the field, delayed start.  boo.

wesn Ks 3 on 9 pitches...immaculate inning.

4th in franchise history...latroy hawkins had the last one.

Came on here to note that - crunch beats me to the punch. Why am I surprised?

ive integrated my life into the internet rather deeply for someone that doesn't mix internet and "real life" at all.  i like keeping the separation even though i'm deeply involved in both "worlds."

wife has her kindle, i have multiple computers in multiple rooms.  we both spend a lot of time together and on "our devices."

i'm on the internet a lot, but it's not most of what i'm doing with my time.  i puke out thoughts and go do other things.

If you have Twitter, you can see the Immaculate Inning...

Hey, it's time to spin the Mark Leiter, Jr. Wheel of Fortune!  Where will the spinner stop?!?

Wow, we finish in the money, not on the stupid "Bankrupt" space!

I spoke too soon. Can't believe Rossy has him pitching into a third inning. Yah keep on spinning that wheel, that "Bankrupt" space is eventually gonna come up. And Leiter has a bunch of them on his wheel.

yeah, i mean, it's not like the pen is overworked.  this isn't necessary.

he's bringing the drama in the 9th.

crazy amount of "small ball" being played since the break by the cubs.  a lot of it very recently.

i can't recall the last time i've seen the cubs bunt and hit/run so much.

W00t! Cubs win game #1!

cubs winning the hell out of some 1-run games lately.

pujols #699 !

Pujols #700 !!!!!!

yeah, the big reason he's done it is because of his long contract and the sunk cost...but wow...700.

Yeah, pretty impressive!

still no s.suzuki...maybe tomorrow.

nico available off the bench.

also, i know options are sketchy and 2022 is a partial audition for 2023...but i don't wanna see z.mckinstry hitting leadoff, or even a starter option going into 2023...

There's about 10-15 guys on the 40-Man, I'll be fine with saying vaya con Dios, amigos.

w.miley leaves early, pointing to his lower back.

a'ite then.

left oblique injury.
