by "the organization", you mean Red Sox, right? Re: Bill James, I heard him on WSCR, Murph's show. While he agrees that Soriano SHOULD bat lower in the order based on his HR/power, he also said, and this is an exact quote, "Baseball is not a table game." That players who, for individual reasons, cannot perform to the statistics/sabremetrics, they [these reasons] should be considered. In short, "the statistical solution ain't always the right solution". From THE HORSES MOUTH. This one's for YOU CHAD!!

One more for Chad. Murton drives in the first run with a 2 out single line drive over the pitcher's head. " [these reasons] should be considered" Too bad the 'pro-leadoff' camp, can't consider.

NYY paid back TB for what they felt was cheap shot running over the catcher the other day. Duncan came spikes up at 2B and the pitcher was tossed in the first being "wild".

    Richard Lovelady one walk & 20 K, 22 hits but no HR, high ERA, and two-to-one GB to FB in 12.1 IP, so I would guess that's why he got the call. Sort of the exact opposite of Luke Little.

    Definitely surprised about Dick Lovelady. He has a phenomenal name but that’s probably the best thing he’s got. I was kinda hoping for Wieck even though he’s apparently still tossing 86 as his heater

    wicks 15d DL...cubs select...get ready for this one...richard f'n lovelady.  lovelady's stregnths include being able to throw a ball left handed and that's about it.

    Open 40 man spot might see the return of CJ. He’s been okay in Iowa. Teheran has been rocked in his starts this year. SSS of course.

    Wouldn’t be shocked seeing another 40 man spot open with Brewer losing his spot.

    On top of all that…Wicks scratched for Sunday due to “forearm soreness.” Bullpen day again starting with Mervis or Wisdom (or Wesn).
